Transfer WES US documents to WES Canada for ECA in 5 easy steps

I have already got a successful WES US evaluation done. How do I transfer my WES US documents to WES Canada for another ECA evaluation?

NOTE 1: The WES US evaluated report is not transferred, but your documents, like mark sheets/transcripts and degree certificate that was directly sent by your university to WES US is transferred on which a fresh evaluation is done by WES Canada. And at Step 4 below, WES Canada will decide whether these documents are valid or not.

NOTE 2: I have a WES US course-by-course evaluation for my Indian bachelors and masters that were successfully completed in March 2019. I also have a new WES Canada evaluation for immigration purposes for the same Indian bachelors and masters that were successfully completed in June 2020.

NOTE 3: You cannot use the WES US evaluation in Canada for admissions or immigration purposes. You MUST do a fresh evaluation from WES Canada if you are either applying to a university in Canada or you are applying for immigration.

NOTE 4: WES is not the only evaluation agency in Canada. Please read my blog post, Is WES the only agency that does an ECA? If you are applying to a university in Canada for higher education, please visit the university website for evaluation agencies that the Canadian university approves. If you are applying for immigration to Canada, you can apply to any evaluation agency on this list (Please click here for the "Designated Organizations for an ECA in Canada" approved by the Government of Canada).

The same is true with WES US. There are many other evaluation agencies apart from WES US that evaluate documents. If you are applying for higher studies at a university in the US, then please visit the US university website to check the approved evaluation agencies that the US university accepts.

STEPS TO TRANSFER WES US DOCUMENTS TO WES CANADA

Please follow the steps below to transfer your documents from WES US to WES Canada (these steps are similar if you want to transfer documents from WES Canada to WES US also).

STEP 1: Create a new WES Canada account with a new email ID. You cannot use the email ID that was used for the WES US evaluation.

STEP 2: Complete the WES Canada application, make the payment, and get a new reference number.

STEP 3: In the "contact us" section of the WES Canada website, give your WES US reference number and the WES Canada reference number and request them to transfer the documents from WES US to WES Canada. (Optional: You may contact WES Canada by phone later to find out if they received this information to transfer documents from the US to Canada). My documents were transferred within one day of creating the new account.

STEP 4: Keep checking your WES account for updates regularly. If any discrepancy arises WES will raise it at this step.

STEP 5: If there is no discrepancy, your documents would have been evaluated successfully. I paid for the WES Canada evaluation on June 16, 2020. WES US transferred my documents to WES Canada on June 17, 2020. WES Canada completed my evaluation successfully on June 29, 2020.

NOTE 6: If you are applying for WES Canada evaluation services for immigration, a PDF copy will be available for download in your account on the day the evaluation is completed.
